Teacher education was not my first choice; it was my "no choice." My original goal was to become a nurse, but my parents could not afford the nursing tuition. Because of this financial situation, I enrolled in the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED) program instead.
Although I did not choose this path initially, I have seen significant improvement in my perspective. I found that teaching my younger siblings and cousins and helping them with their homework makes me happy. Seeing them learn has made me start to like the profession.
I am now determined to finish this course. My goal is to use my observation skills and my growing interest in teaching to become a professional educator.
